About
I began my fine woodworking journey in Portland, Oregon with the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers, a non-profit organization which offers many wonderful classes and volunteer opportunities. Through the Guild, I met longtime member Ed Ferguson, who eventually became my mentor and taught me many fundamentals of fine woodworking for five years.
Prior to woodworking, I was a classical cellist for over two decades. I received Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music. After graduating, I was awarded a full merit scholarship to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan.
After music conservatory, I joined the New York based crossover group Break of Reality and toured extensively with them for five years. I was lucky to be able to perform at many prestigious venues, some of which included The Musical Instrument Museum (Phoenix, AZ) LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (NYC), South by Southwest (Austin, TX), California Worldfest (Grass Valley, CA), Pandora World Headquarters (Oakland, CA), and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA).
Outside of framing, I teach woodworking workshops and summer camps at Ottawa Tool Library. Please visit their website for upcoming events.
